Get Warped! (4-Harness)

Learn to WARP a 4-Harness Loom.  Get inspired to make your own scarf or place mat project! 

Participants will learn how to use a warping board to measure the warp yarns and thread a 4-Harness loom. 

All supplies - yarn, looms and tools - are provided to learn the techniques taught in this class. 

Participants can bring their own 4-harness table loom or small floor loom (maximum size 24")  This is helpful if they want to complete the woven piece on their own loom.  Supplies can also be purchased at Spun.  Class participants will receive 10% discount on yarn purchased for the class project.

This is a 4-hour workshop - starting at 10:00am until 2:00pm with a brief lunch break.  
This class is taught by Cayenna Hanna 

Class outline:

• Measure warp yarn on warping board
• Learn methods for orienting warp yarns on the warping board
• Transfer warp yarn on to the loom
• Roll warp yarn on to back beam
• Thread warp yarn thru heddles and reed
• Tie warp warp yarn to apron rod on front beam
• Begin weaving 

Participants can choose to make a scarf or place mat if using their own loom.  Please discuss individual project ideas with Cayenna prior to class.
